We traveled to Glasgow from North Lincolnshire in the morning and booked a meal at the Auldgirth Inn based on its reviews for our return trip. We weren’t disappointed—it was an excellent meal with superb service. We will definitely return one day! View all feedback.
Disappoint. £8.00 for a glass house wine. complex menu, no honest eating. we had haggis scotch egg, which was good, hake soup, which tasted well, but had lumps of uncooked kartoffels in it and mustels that were in order, just ok, I didn't finish the court. for the net we had scallops and black pudding, the scallops were very good, but the black pudding was not, pork fillet and belly served with dauphinoise potatoes and mixed roast vegetables, the filet was bland and unseasoned, the bubble was nice, but the skin was a soggy mash, the carrots were scalloped on the inside and cooked unimmering. I ordered a coffee and had to wait ten to fifteen minutes when it came, it was extremely bitter and unpleasant for my taste. the restaurant is very smart, but the chairs were low for our table unhappy. the toilets are a bit surprising down.
The food was amazing and the service exemplary top place to go for great food in a great location a must for anybody that likes good food. !!!!
Lovely food in a great atmosphere. I`m coeliac that was fully catered for, which was good as there were plenty of choices on the menu for me to choose from. Very enjoyable evening the lift back to our hotel was very much appreciated after. Thanks
