The restaurant offers tasty coffee and enjoyable cake. There are also many small gifts and intriguing artwork on display. The waitress was very helpful in suggesting local attractions to visit. I must mention that the restrooms were exceptionally clean, which is not something you can say about many cafes. View all feedback.
Combining a small craft shop with a coffee shop this is a very welcoming place to visit. The cafe menu is modest but well-balanced with a few additional dishes on a daily basis. Mushroom soup was generous and hearty, toasties with bacon brie were excellent as was the accompanying pot of tea. Service was faultless.
Lovely spot for coffee and cake. It has a nice outdoor area too for warmer days. The artwork and textiles for sale looked beautiful We stopped here before some years ago before it was expanded and as we were driving through we remembered it was a nice little cafe so revisited. Would go again when in the area
They serve delicious coffee and very nice cake . Lots of little gifts, and interesting art work. The waitress was very helpful in pointing out places of interest to visit in the area. I must say, the loo's were extremely clean, and you cannot say that about a lot of cafes you visit.
There are a few hidden gems for food in Sanquhar, some real gems too, and this is one not so hidden on the High Street. We have had lunch on 2 occasions so far and on both have been delighted with the food and service. This is definitely worth stopping for and some great local art is on sale which is worthy of browsing while you are here. We will be back.
Sanquar is a small Scottish village. It boast to have the smallest and oldest working post office in the world. There are two pubs we visited beside our hotel the ' 'Nithsdale ' The villagers were very friendly and made us feel most welcomed I would certainly recommend the Hotel and place. Can 't wait to go back and catch up with the many friends we made there
