Comfort food near the famous The Flying Fish Hostel! Most remarkably, this casual, low-key restaurant serves a rarity among Dumaguete establishments. And, no, you can’t find it on their menu. What jeffrey h doesn't like about Salt And Pepper Ph:
Food was good, but the service was SLOW. It was 4:45 on Friday afternoon and the restaurant had less than five other customers. It took almost 30 minutes to prepare our food! We simply ordered Chicken Inasal and Pork Sisig, but maybe they had to catch the chicken and pig. The staff seemed preoccupied. View all feedback.
Okay it's just missing menu items not available leaving me to choose a dish not excited about. 2nd time was much better. Only several indoor tables with great aircon. Nice comfortable simple ambiance. 3rd time was like the first, not even a hamburger was available. There will not be a follow-up visit
Foods are great, staffs are friendly and approachable. And I love the ambience of the place. Best for dinner date with love ones and family or friends.

It’s their excellent customer service, particularly their friendly, attentive and accommodating waiters who go out of their way for you to enjoy your dining experience. Case in point: when my order was very delayed due to kitchen problems, they provided complimentary nachos. Things to improve? Hope they turn down the airconditioning for the indoor dining area. It’s just too cold, I always end up transferring to an outside table.
The interior looks good but it feels cramped. Space or table layout must be a slight issue for big groups. The food is tasty, reasonably priced, but nothing out of the ordinary—except for the seared salmon in lemon butter sauce. That was a standout. Overall vibe obviously targets the hip college student or young professional. It lacks a decent parking space. And it feels like you need a map to get to the restroom.
