Gie-gie's Sports - Dumaguete

We all know there are a lot of restaurants/bars in this city of ours. So what about Gie-Gie's? First and foremost it is a haven for many reasons/people. An international place with USA roots. It is a sports bar at least. And for a sports bar the food is real good! And as an eating establishment it is a damn good sports bar! Get the picture? I gave it 4 stars. Why? The combination of everything adds up. And the staff is so friendly! For me a win/win...That is until my Minnesota Vikings play. Lately we lose lose...

Great atmosphere. Food taste great but have been disappointed with the out off stock items. This has happened a couple of different times. Yesterday was no fries, no onion rings. Just cheese sticks or till a friend said something about potatoe salad to go with the great tasting burger

Good western food. Burgers, chili fries, fish and chips and all that. Place is about 2 km outside town so best take a taxi. If you like country music you'll like this bar. I , however,do not.

In my original review of Gie Gie's, I said that the burgers, subs and bbq were all excellent. That's still the case, but I've been back a couple of times with not so good results. I recently went, and nothing I ordered that morning was available. I tried another day for breakfast. The coffee was **** poor. The omelet was passable, but nowhere near the best in town. The toast was hard as marble and inedible.

Go to spot for Expats and American football fans. No college games but they can stream any game you want. Nice staff and owner with a steak and cheese and Saturday Mexican food day. Place closes at 7pm.
