I have been to this place many times. Mamias serves variety of food and non-drinks. Its affordable and the servings is just enough to fill your tummy. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have a new menu and I loved their chicken with raddish side dish. When the sweet tooth comes you can also find delightful desserts here. So if you happen to drop by Dumaguete City try Mamias for your breakfast, lunch and din... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Cafe Mamia:
This cafe is open as early as 7am (if I remember correctly) and serve a delicious and affordable breakfast! It's a quaint cafe in downtown Dumaguete so it's accessible and there's enough parking spaces in the area. I recommend this place for a breakfast, coffee breaks and desserts. View all feedback.
I normally go their every day good food , you could feel the old dumaguete and everything is perfect
Wife and I live in Dumaguete. First time for me to visit this place. Corn chowder soup...canned cream corn with evaporated.milk. Slow cooked BBQ ribs..Not even close. 2 ribs about 3 inches long Meat chunk with 2 almost bare bones that were frozen and microwave before serving with my knife I was able to saw through little meat. Tough and covered with some type of gravy. Ask owner 's husband with him saying we pressure cook our meat . Ordered coke to drink and finally served coke. Server said from carton, not cooled. Server said water from tap...not sure about her accuracy but that is what she said. Service...we got no utensils until wife went to a service location bringing them to table. Service staff busy talking with each other and ignoring customers. Even when we tried to get their attention by looking and motioning. Cross this one off our regular list to visit. Ribs at Cafe Racer with seafood food also ordered and cooked from their partner Lan Taw and Lord Byron 's if you want BBQ and tender. Even getting the check to pay we had to go to counter to get servers attention. Lot 's of good restaurants near Blvd and around town. I seldom write a bad review but this one deserves it. Good luck. From response owner 's husband gave about food I am sure they will make some smart comments about this post.
A small place in a busy part of town. i ordered the onion soup and penne with salmon and the food was sooo good. the soup was comfort food at its finest and though i thought the pasta serving was big, i ate all of it. it was that good. now the downside. i had to wait a full twenty five minutes for service. a waiter handed me the menu then attended to everyone else, even those who came after me. i had to rustle up some attention before my order was taken. the food did arrive very quickly but not willing to wait for a long process to settle my bill, i just went over to the cash register and settled the bill. the place is woefully understaffed. and they should put a door closer at the entrance, most guest, upon entry, or exit, just do not take the trouble to shut the door. And oh, the prices are most competitive.
Its a very noisy place so it is difficult to have a decent conversation because of people shouting. Food is ok but oily. Salad dressing is just balsamic vinegar. Portions are Small. Not everything on the menu is available. Coffee is just ok.
The restaurant exudes a warm and rustic ambiance. There is a wide variety of meal options available for customers to choose from. The service is exceptional. However, while the food quality is good, the high prices do not seem justified. I recommend trying Sta. Theresa or Wat-ever! for better quality food at more reasonable prices. The beverages are excellent, but can be found at better prices elsewhere. For example, their P80 cappuccino served in a teacup is overpriced compared to Scooby's P60 cappuccino served in a mug. It is not recommended to order coffee at this restaurant, as it is mostly ice in the cold coffee drinks. Unless you are curious to try their food or are not concerned with budget, it is advised to explore other dining options in Dumaguete, as there are plenty of superior restaurants available.
