White Windmill - Duluth
White Windmill
Description
Located on Buford Highway in Doraville, this roomy Asian bakery pairs a pretty, welcoming interior with ample seating, Wi‑Fi and a broad selection of pastries, cakes, espresso and milk‑tea — plus breakfast and sandwiches for lunch. Favorites include coconut coffee and cream‑cheese danishes. Evenings bring a thinner selection, and reviewers note inconsistent service and unclear cake pricing, so expect mixed experiences despite solid pastries and a study‑friendly atmosphere. Not dog‑friendly.

This White Windmill location has a nice ambiance. It's welcoming for those who want to station themselves there whether to socialize or get some work done. The pastries are pretty consistent with the other locations. The selection is more limited.
Pros:-so many baked goods to choose from-cute area ?-indoor/outdoor seating-espresso drinks AND milk tea optionsWhat I recommend:-hot hazelnut latte (I tried the ice and personally hot is better)-almond croissant which felt hard as a rock when I purchased it so I had low hopes but it was so soft inside and delicious. Highly recommend
The staff was outstanding, and both the coffee and cheesecake were quite enjoyable.
The classic chicken salad is absolutely delicious, and the bubble teas are equally fantastic!
Their birthday cakes have no price tags.(I did not take a photo. But you can see other reviewers’ photos in google map)Why I gave one star?I asked the staff the price of a specific cake. My finger is pointed to the cake I wanted. I was ready to buy. She does not tell the exact price of that cake. Instead she told me from thirty something to forty something. So their cakes have market prices? The staff does not even bother to tell me which one is in thirty dollars range and which one is in forty dollars range. I guess she did not expect I will buy one. Maybe forty dollars range is bigger? She does not tell me. I just know I pointed my finger to a specific cake. Would it be easier to put the price tag there?I ate their cakes before. It is just okay. Definitely not the best in Atlanta. I know their stuffs are expensive. I know cakes are expensive. I just don’t like the way they treat customers. If you are looking for a birthday cake, I suggest you to go somewhere else
