The salad, bread, and main dishes were all excellent, though I found the dressing on the salad just a touch too sour for my taste. My husband ordered the cattle ravioli, and I wish I could have chosen that too, provided I could be certain it didn’t contain a significant amount of cheese. Kimberly, our server, was attentive and friendly. It's challenging to find options for someone who can't eat cream or cheese in this restaurant and in many Italian places, for that matter. Overall, we had a very enjoyable meal. I regret not asking about those options since I would have loved to try them. Just a note: to find the restaurant, you have to go down the side of a bakery from the main street. There was a sign for Sugo on the main road, which was helpful!
I would definitely rank this place among the best if there were a list. Everything we had was delicious, and the atmosphere was incredibly cozy! We were part of a large group, and the staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Our server, Roy, made sure the entire evening went smoothly. I can't wait to return and explore more items on the menu!
The restaurant had a romantic vibe, although it was quite dimly lit. I noticed many patrons using their phone flashlights to read the menu. Personally, I prefer a bit more light so I can see what I’m eating. The cocktails were amazing! We tried the Apple Spicer and the Walnut Old Fashioned, both of which were excellent, but I particularly loved the Apple Spicer. For appetizers, we had the Spanish octopus and the arancini; the arancini were heavenly, and the octopus was good too. For the main course, we enjoyed the branzino, which was a daily special, along with the Eggplant Parmesan. Both dishes were delicious, offering a wonderful mix of textures and flavor combinations. Our waiter, Roy, who was absolutely fantastic and very helpful, explained the branzino to us. We had expected a larger piece of fish, but it turned out to be just right and very tasty. For dessert, we tried the tiramisu and cannoli. They were enjoyable, but I wouldn't say they were exceptional. I was a bit surprised that there were no pizzas on the menu and that there seemed to be fewer traditional Italian dishes, like lasagna and carbonara. Overall, we had a lovely evening and truly enjoyed our meal. The staff was exceptionally attentive and friendly. I can’t wait to return and try more delicious dishes!
Simply amazing. One of the best Italian restaurants in the metropolitan area. The owner came to us and in such a humble way he recommended a few options, truly you could see the passion for his food. Love the authenticity of the food and the atmosphere ofthe restaurant.
