Burrito Union, a popular spot on the North Shore that used to be a must-visit destination, is now experiencing a decline in both quality and value. Customers have noted that the portion sizes have decreased while the prices have remained the same, leading to disappointment. Additionally, the restaurant's payment system using an app and third-party service has frustrated many customers, adding an unnecessary layer of annoyance. Despite these issues, the staff continues to provide excellent service, and the food quality remains good. The restaurant is praised for being vegan-friendly and offering fresh and delicious options. Overall, while Burrito Union may not be as impressive as it once was, it still offers a pleasant dining experience with a welcoming atmosphere and accommodating staff.

A couple of vegan options on the menu, including a DIY bowl and a vegan socialist burrito that 's vegan by default. I got the burrito — it was huge and pretty good.

We had the Vegan Socialist Burrito. It was great. The small was really big and came with tortilla chips. Updated from previous review on 2019-06-28

There is one item labeled vegan socialist burrito. The chips are not labeled vegan and the server had no idea why. We all ordered the one item on the menu. None of them came with guacamole like they are supposed to. If you want to add guacamole to other non vegan burritos, they upcharge you $3. We noticed the lack of guacamole after most of us were done eating and we were talking about how boring and disappointing the food was when we got a menu to figure out they were missing the guacamole. When we showed the server the remaking burrito missing guacamole their response was to tell the kitchen staff for next time or offer me a side of guacamole to take home with my remaining half burrito. This was $12 worth of food we were missing. Our bill before tip and without drinks was $72!!! These are not cheap and they don’t fix their $12 mistakes on their boring food. Google recommend this place so I decided to try it: Ordered two steak burritos with guac (to go). As soon as I got home, I started eating the burrito, half way through, and I am only eating rice, beans and lettuce. No steak No guac so far. I amdisappointed ???? but I am hungry ???? so I continue eating and towards the bottom there's some steak pieces, literally 2 or 3little pieces. I also got guac on the side for and I think whoever made it, had the wrong ratio of guac to salt. I neverthought you could mess up a burrito like that, I mean chipotle fails to wrap mine sometimes but at least there's some meat andguac when I order it. Whoever is going here, make sure to set your expectations low. The second burrito ???? was samestory! Also, two burritos 1 side of guac 1 side of chips is 40 dollars, unless you wanna waste your money and disappointyour stomach go here.

It?s clean and has a good vibe. Great service from the barkeep, Liv. Cadillac margarita is on point. Got the rancher with jalapeños. Burrito reminds me of Chipotle and Qdoba?rice forward. ?Carnitas? was an afterthought. All waded up in one end.Carnitas should have a golden crisp from it?s own fat?Dutch oven. This was shredded pork and watery. I get it. As that previousmoron of a reviewer pointed out, it?s not Mexican. But when you list carnitas, it should be carnitas. The burritos should bemind blowing for $14 bones. The Fitgers presence is everywhere?swag, beer, website, menu. Don?t have their own identity. Andwash those 4th street windows, place looks closed. Good IPA though. Happy hour everyday from 3-6!
