We were a party of 6. We were seated immediately and had great service. We had 2 chicken frys, 1 fish dinner, 1 hamburger steak and 2 steak filets. Everything was very good and plenty of it. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. We will be returning View all feedback.
What Sarah Grant doesn't like about The Boar's Nest:
This restaurant has gone downhill in the last 2-3 months. We waited an hour to get our food and the fish was over cooked and tasteless while the chicken fried steak wasn't completely done. The waitress, while friendly, had a panicked attitude. Hope you fix what's wrong considering this is the only restaurant in town View all feedback.

We had 4 in our party. We received really prompt services. The platters of food are huge so come with an appetite or have a box to go. One of the party had a catfish plate. I had brisket nachos. They were delicious. We will come back definitely when we cross the red river. Possible visitors need to take note they are closed for part of the week. They do sell beer there. It is very clean. We were observing t HCC employees cleaning windows before they opened up.
Absolutely the best steaks within 100 miles! Puts other joints to shame!
Steaks are thick and amazing. Catfish is probably the best I've had...
Worst customer service by not the wait staff but the owner. My order was messed up and not only would he not replace it but wouldn't offer a refund. He was very rude and disrespectful. I am a long time customer but because of the way I was treated by the owner I will never eat there again.
