The restaurant Pfeffermühle, which until a few years ago belonged to me a good acquaintance, but which has withdrawn from the gastronomy and now only continues its second not so time-intensive business. So let's visit his successor, who is now a few years later. Ambiente: The restaurant is approx. 200m airline from the pedestrian zone and approx. 400m airline from Hbf. Duisburg. In the immediate vicinity there are many hotels, whose hotel guests mostly also trade fair D ́dorf visitors) come in very often within the week. The parking situation is therefore a little difficult, but we have always found a parking space in the side street. The restaurant is flattering and can be visited by wheelchair users without any problems, but the toilets are in the basement. We entered the restaurant without having previously reserved, was just a spontaneous visit. We were kindly greeted and the last two free foursomes were shown, of which we were allowed to choose one. The restaurant is kept very bright inside with lots of wood, typical Balkan style. That's how it looked at the previous owner, only now of course renovated. There is still a small seperate room for smokers should be four tables). The tables are covered with white tablecloths and additionally red fabric place blankets for each guest. In addition vinegar oil and salt pepper shaker as well as a flower. Drinks Food: The beverage order was given up directly when the menus were handed over. Köpi 0.3l Alster 0.3l each 2,30€ and 1x Brohler Gourmet Mineral Water 0.25l bottle for 1.80€. The drinks came very fast and were also very good from the temperature. Tomato soup was ordered in advance 2.90€, as main course Cevapcici 8,90€, grill plate 12,90€ and Putensteak Indian Art 12,90€. Small changes were not a problem and were also carried out to our satisfaction. The soup was very hot and tasty, with a cream hood and 2 half toast slices. The salad, about 50% herb salad, the rest of tomato slices, Kidney beans, cucumber slices, fresh carrots not from the glass), green salad and Pepperoni. The salad had been served with vinegar and oil if desired you can also get two different dressings. After a pleasant time the main dishes were served. 5 Cevapcici, delicious with garlic 1 piece of bacon with tasty pommes and tasty not overcooked Djuwet screams. Add a teaspoon of Ajvar and a few onions. The grill plate looked just as good, but had several meats, which are typical on the grill plate. The Putensteak Indian style was quite large, covered with Annanas, a fruity sauce, brocolie and a good portion of rice. The Ayvar a teaspoon) was of course not enough, and a small cup was reordered, which was served in a very short time, however, from a glass without refining with a surcharge of 2.20€ on the invoice). The meat was very tasty and not dry grilled. In the meantime, the beverage delivery worked very fast and excellent. It was discreetly asked for satisfaction by the staff and the beverage glasses were always observed beautifully. It was also known to the other waiter what we had before in the empty glasses. A dessert was unfortunately no longer fit in with these portions, while the dessert looked very delicious on the side tables. With the invoice, a Julischka from the house was still served for each guest. Conclusion: If you are hungry in the Balkans Croatian food, you will be well kept in the pepper mill. Only one should perhaps reserve a table before, as shortly after us the first guests had to be sent away as the restaurant was booked. Edit: We have been at least since the visit on 02.02.2013. 1x in 2013 and 2x in 2014 last in Nov. 2014) feed there and always very satisfied.
