The site is a small fort (especially in relation to Douaumont or Vaux) which was rather in the back and served as a base for combatants. It was renovated and maintained on private grounds, and it is inhabited, almost as at the time!, by models simply beautiful and filled with personality. The rooms, the corridors are staged to see how we lived there and what activities were there. Outside, you can walk in a trench, and see the barracks useful to the daily lives of the soldiers. It's really done, bravo to the boss and those around him.
Very nice visit. Well-maintained and well-designed fortification that allows the youngest to project in the lives of the soldiers of the Great War.
Very pleasant tour with friendly and passionate guide, I recommend. Top price quality report, count 1h30 for the site. Thanks to the association.
Very beautiful work reconstituted and preserved by enthusiasts. One of the owners of the site guides you to the entrance (visit every 30min), explains the history of the work and how they restored it then you can discover the domain at your pace with a plan. The sounds and models integrated into the furniture add realism instead, we can perfectly imagine the lives of soldiers at the time. On the outside, replenishing trenches where our teens have enjoyed walking. You have a little time to visit. Don't miss!
