Hardee's - Duffield
Hardee's
Description
At Hardee's, customer experiences reflect a mix of disappointment and fleeting satisfaction. While the milkshakes, both strawberry and chocolate, are praised for their flavor, the service falls short, marred by unhelpful staff interactions and issues with order accuracy. Many diners noted the restaurant's cleanliness was lacking, and some items, like the Hi-C Orange drink, were unavailable despite previous sightings. Overall, Hardee's seems to have potential but needs to address service quality and hygiene to attract and retain customers effectively. A cohesive effort in these areas could elevate the dining experience beyond mere mediocrity.

I ordered a hand-dipped milkshake, and it took only about 8 seconds from when the employee walked to the milkshake station to when it was handed to me. The taste was fine, but I’m still left wondering where the "hand-dipped" part actually happens.
I'm honestly appalled by how I was treated at Hardee's today. I received a coupon in the mail and stopped by to order something featured on their menu using that coupon. After placing my order and pulling up to the window with my coupon flyer and cash, I expected a straightforward transaction. Instead, the employee demanded that I cut out the coupon and hand it to them along with the cash. Seriously? Do they expect everyone to carry scissors in their car? I don’t. When I politely asked if they could quickly cut the coupon for me, the employee insisted they had no scissors or any sharp objects to do so. I've worked in many customer service roles, and I've never treated a customer that way. Frustrated, I crumpled the coupon flyer, tossed it back toward the window, and told them to keep both the coupon and my order. Hardee's, you just lost a customer, and you risk losing many more if this is how you treat people. Managers need to reconsider who they have representing their brand. Word of mouth is powerful, and I will be warning everyone I know to avoid Hardee's in Duffield, Virginia.
I may have looked a bit messy that day, but I would never mistreat anyone or speak about others in the way I was treated. A couple of weeks later, I returned and was treated completely differently. It was frustrating because I wanted to highlight the unfairness of it all—how someone who seemed more put-together received much better treatment, even though I was the same person who had been treated poorly just weeks before. Despite everything, I stayed polite and respectful. It's disheartening to see how some people treat others as if they are beneath them. However, I suppose everyone has their own way of coping with things.
The food was mediocre. I tried to order a Hi-C Orange drink for two consecutive mornings, but the staff told me they were out of it. However, I know they had it the night before, as I received a Hi-C Orange that was not clean. Since I was away from home and not familiar with many dining options, I recommend that Hardee's improve their service; you're missing out on customers.
What a disappointing experience I had at the drive-thru! I placed an order for one low-carb burger and four roast beef sandwiches. The employee confirmed my order but didn’t provide a total. After I paid, I checked my food, and to my astonishment, I only received two roast beef sandwiches. The employee insisted she only heard two, even though she had read back my entire order when I placed it. I also requested a receipt, but she said she could see my order on her screen, so I didn’t get one. I ended up paying extra for the two missing sandwiches and asked for barbecue sauce again. When I got home, I discovered there was no sauce! Well done, Hardee's, on your employee training—or should I say the lack of it?
