What Jane Bwana doesn't like about KIT Kunst-im-Tunnel Cafe:
This cafe is at good location and under it there is KIT tunnel museum. Staff was very nice and service was super fast too but Cappuccino and Pie both tasted average. View all feedback.
Perfect setting by the river, even better with sunset - Great venue to hire and organize party, nice music and helpful staff
This is a small but delightfull cafe next to the Rhine with tables outside on a nice day or internal seating behind large windows overlooking the Rhine. They serve lovely cakes and coffee, and ideal place to break on a stroll in the area.
The KIT Café is, in my opinion, one of the best locations in Düsseldorf. It is situated along the Rhine embankment and the view from its sunny terrace is second to none. There is a continual rotation of music events happening during the Summer months and this year (2014) has seen its popularity grow with increasing interest. During the week various well known local DJs play the "Sundowner" with exquisite and eclectic relaxed Lounge music. The House music event on Thursdays this year caused hundreds of people to crowd the lush surroundings, making service almost impossible. The service can also be rather slow and laissez faire, but a teething problem that needs to be rectified. During the winter months there are still bands and DJs who play there and is such crowded than in Summer.K.I.T is the abbreviation for Kunst Im Tunnel, which basically means there is a Art Gallery in the 'tunnel' - the lower portion of the café.
This cafe is located along the river which was convenient when heavy rain came down on our river walk. The cafe blends art with food. The cafe is located above an art tunnel below (which wasn't open during my visit). But the food was good and the drinks were good. Beer is also cheaper than water at this cafe! The cafe has a beautiful outdoor patio with a great view of the park and river.
KIT-Café is a well situated café near the Apollo and Vodafone buildings on the promenade of Duesseldorf. You can practically just watch passers-by and enjoy the view of the Rhine. It has a very good selection of cakes - I counted 17 (seventeen) cakes! That's monster. The food wasn't my taste - too peppery - though I thought their coffee was good.
