We visited for Friday night dinner with our family of 5 (kids aged 17, 15, 8). It was wonderful. Great food, great ambience and great service. We ordered schnitzel which was veal. Two sizes. The small one had one fillet, and the large one had...two fillets. Served with a fresh side salad. We also ordered fish and chips. That was kind of strange. The fish was salmon. Not so bad after getting over the surprise of salmon. Our 8yo loved it. Excellent table service. And very friendly. We will most certainly add it to our list of favorite family restaurants.
We, a family of 11 were looking forward to a Christmas holiday in the country house freeman. when entering the restaurant we were told that our table would not be in the restaurant, but above in the festive room. our first impression was that this... was a very unpleasant area that was missing in the atmosphere, tables were placed in several long lines without a private sphere. the service team consisted of 3 young people who seemed totally overwhelmed with their task. it took over 30 minutes and several requests to finally get warm drinks. the inluded welcome champagner arrived only later and another complaining of us. the buffet was in order, but there were always very long lines as the opposite was too small and as soon as the objects were gone, they were not replaced. I could go on, but noodle to say that this was not the brunch experience we were hoping for. I send an email to the restaurant and received a ridiculous answer. I was told that our party was obviously not in the right mood for vacation and a statement was given about how a buffet works. very condescending and not professional according to any standard. I was also told that they had many recurring guests who held with them during the kovid and the guests seem to like their restaurant. what they obviously forgot was that I and my family were some of these guests. I'm sorry never to say again.
We reserved a hut for the birthday of my friend and it was so funny! it is quiet, venerable and great! daniela was so courteous - even an hour before our reservation, some of the girls could not make it and it was no problem! the dinner in family style was an explosion and atmosphere was perfect! thanks to eddie for a great and fun waiter who spoke great English.
We saw the restaurant on a German TV show where it won a competition and were looking forward to eating there. expectations where so high, but we were for a disappointment. we sat in the beer garden, which has a casual ambiente, not bad, but also not especially. at the order we asked for the “Steak Board” which, in addition to what was on the menu, should have a selection of dry aged steaks. the question was answered with the tomahawk on the regular menu as steak board! when we ordered the tomahawk, we said it took 75 min to prepare for what seemed to be exaggerated to me. So we ordered something else that was probably intended. as an appetizer I had the Asian bark tataki, which has arrived completely well, and not just on the outside should be like a tataki. I sent it back and got a properly prepared what was in order. the other starters were okay, so we got our head. both the tagliata and the rumpsteak were quite rare, although ordered medium. So we sent them back to get more cooked. the food came back soon after. both meat was okay after that. but what was completely unacceptable was the pasta that came together with the tagliata. the taste was ok in the round, but they were completely overcooked and additionally cut into small pieces as for a small child. So we didn't eat them. When we asked if we liked to eat, we have claimed about the pasta that was then taken out of the bill. if it were prepared properly, it would not have been bad. but with all these things it was difficult to enjoy. In addition, some of the more interesting weine were not available on the beautiful selection of open weinees and the beautiful full-bodied red I ordered was served in a white wine glass that is used for a glass with more volume oozing to get more air. When I asked about another glass, I was told that they had only one kind of wine glasses. hard to believe for such a place. the service was efficient, but some waiters did not experience very much and did not seem much to care. the prices are not low, but would have been in order if the food was properly cooked. all in all a quite unpleasant culinary experience. it's a pity because it didn't have to be if the personal just did his job well.
