Stopped here for a coffee at about half 5 one late afternoon and a lovely cafe au lait it was too. Decided to stay on for dinner. I had the 'little chicken ' with vegetables. No English menu but everyone helped translate the difficult words like... 'kidneys '. Really delicious, lovely flavour. Plus glass of white. A lovely evening. Recommended. View all feedback.
What Elvira Wolf doesn't like about Café de France:
10 minutes ignored, then asked what we want in unfriendly tone. Waiter did not write down order but asked us to repeat it. After 30 minutes politely naked when we could expect food, ups had forgotten to order our food. Explained we had to leave...for an appointment, were told ok then just pay for the water not the 2 glasses Cremant. Bottle mineral water €7,20!!! Left hungry, frustrated and determined to never go here again . Cannot recommend if you want any waiter service.
Service, kindness very, very good. Eating IMMER fantastic, menu very awesome, changes approximately every 4 6 weeks. Price performance ratio always very, very good. I've been thrilled for years!!!
Last year at Pentecost, my friend invited me to a week in Paris. It should be a really French week. So we lived in the style of Montmartre, the artistic district between Moulin Rouge and Sacré Coeur . What I was looking for, the atmosphere in Paris's cafes, people... instead, crowds in a frightening city. How good is it with me in the beautiful Oberkassel the Café de france. The café radiates wonderfully cozy atmosphere and is decorated in French old style. The staff is always friendly and additional requests are taken into account immediately and without any problems. A beef steak we ordered was too **** to my accompaniment (although this is always a matter of taste), so it was immediately exchanged and additionally offered a drink for apology. If you are looking for the typical German bistro map at Café de france, you will not find it here and so you can try something completely different from your usual salad with chickens. The menu is handwritten and offers fresh stew in heavy pots, crispy thin flame cake,... But I welcome you to Galettes, these are Bretonian buckwheat pancakes with different fillings. But preference... they are really sick!! If you go to the Café de france alone, you will find a wonderful place on a padded window bench overlooking Düsseldorfer Fahren. In addition, there are always many illustrious and fresh daily newspapers to relax in an afternoon reading with a Cappucino. Two nights at one of the small bistro tables in a glass of delicious wines and a small cheese selection... romantically it is almost impossible. Breakfast is available in the morning from 9 am, in the evening unfortunately at 21.30 pm. Café de france is a 5-minute walk to the Rhine and is a short walk away. I am pleased to have found my Paris in front of the front door!
This cafe is a nice place for a coffee. It is a good spot to "escape" from office if you're located nearby and want to have a chat not everybody should hear

Beautiful French specialties at prices that you can call absolutely fair in Oberkassel. Hopefully it'll be open again soon so you don't take the delicious stuff.
