Twice ripped off. We had reserved a table for six people for Boxing Day 2025. I had checked the current menu online beforehand and even printed it out. However,... read more Twice ripped off. We had reserved a table for six people for Boxing Day 2025. I had checked the current menu online beforehand and even printed it out. However, the menu online was already showing the 2026 version. The 2026 menu listed numerous items with price increases. As a reminder: the restaurant tax on food was reduced from 19% to 7% in 2026. We arrived at the restaurant on Boxing Day and our table was still occupied at the agreed time. The other guests had to vacate the table, and we were able to sit down after a short wait. This table, apparently meant for two people, was in the wine cooler, probably due to lack of space. This was quite unpleasant. It then took another ten minutes or so for the staff to assemble and for us to be served. To our astonishment, we were then presented with the new 2026 menu (with the increased prices). But apparently, this was standard practice for the restaurant owner. We simply had to accept it. A price increase as early as 2025 (new menu for 2026 in 2025) and another price increase in 2026 that wasn't supposed to be one. In short: doubly ripped off and unintentionally chilled (table in the wine cooler). The food was okay, and the portions were smaller compared to previous visits. The fact that the restaurant was full and therefore noisy inside was to be expected. We won't be eating there again.
