This is not intended to be a criticism, just a comment. The facility there is getting old but, as you can read here, it needs to be modernized. But it doesn't factor into my overall rating because I don't care about that sort of thing. However, we sat very comfortably. We made reservations online, which I find very convenient. We wanted to book at 5 p.m. but it wasn't possible. Also 5:15 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. But 6:00 p.m. was fine. We expected that there would be some reservations. But that wasn't the case.

The food was excellent – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was consistently friendly, attentive, and courteous, without being intrusive. The location itself is a real highlight: idyllically situated in the countryside, with ample parking right on site. The ambiance is cozy and inviting – perfect for enjoying a lovely evening. We will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend Zapfhahn!
