A traditional, old pub, well-frequented, the staff friendly, and we were quickly taken care of. We were in the mood for schnitzel and ordered one Jäger (a type of schnitzel) and one Zigeuner (a type of gypsy). The fries were sticky and unsalted. The sauce was tasty, at least in the Zigeuner (a type of gypsy), but there was very little of it; the Jäger (a type of gypsy) had just enough sauce. The meat was okay in terms of texture, but the breading was thicker than the meat, which was very thin. In conclusion, unfortunately, it wasn't something we would go back for again.
After being extremely disappointed some time ago...the food arrived late and was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside...we gave the restaurant another chance today....after over an hour, we received drinks and the menu...after another hour, we ordered a new drink at the counter...after a total of 2.5 hours, we wanted to pay because there was still no food. The manager then came to the table and said our mussels were now on the stove...we weren't hungry anymore...the manager said we weren't allowed to make any more reservations...and we didn't want to.
A quaint, cozy pub with great food! The gypsy schnitzel and cream schnitzel were delicious, with generous portions and a fair price. Friendly service and freshly tapped beer – highly recommended!
It used to be the best mussel restaurant in the area. They still taste good, but they're nowhere near what we used to. We also waited almost two hours for our food. After complaining several times and requesting the bill, our food finally arrived. The vegetables in the pan, however, tasted like they had been kept warm for the two hours. The waitresses and the manager tried hard and apologized several times, but after decades of loyalty, this was the last time for us.
