grilled squid. Although it was well cooked, I was disappointed that it was not properly cleaned. it had a few more darms and a bit of grid. so it wasn't great to eat. I had better for cheaper just one road away. View all feedback.
The restaurant may appear to be a typical bar, but it actually serves up some delicious food. The prices are reasonable and the oysters are fresh and tasty. The squid rings, while not as good as those in Greece, are still crispy and delicious. The spaghetti with seafood is tasty, although nothing extraordinary. The portions are generous, especially compared to other places in Dubrovnik where the portions are ridiculously small. The service is quick and friendly. Overall, this is a great restaurant in Dubrovnik for those looking to leave satisfied and full.
This is the perfect place for seafood lovers. The service is fast and the food is delicious. I recommend ordering a bit of everything on the menu.
This restaurant is fantastic. I tried the black risotto, oysters, calamari, and fried sardines.
The food is ok but full of oil. We asked when we arrived if they accepted credit cards, and the hostess said yes. When the waiter set the table, he put down a little basket of bread and we refused it, because we didn't want the couvert. Then we had the main dish and asked for the check, showing our credit cards. Then the waiter said they didn't accept credit cards. We insisted and said we had asked before and then they told us to go inside to pay. When they charged the couver per person we informed that we had refused the couvert and that we hadn't ate it. Then the owner of the restaurant started saying that they charge anyone for the couvert and that it wasn't so much money, so we should pay without complaining because it was HIS place and HIS rules. We agreed, as he started being very rude and intimidating. I punched my card's password and immediately received the notification of my bank's app confirming the payment. The owner insisted that the payment was not effective and required me to pay again, even though I showed him the screen of my cellphone in the bank app with the name of his restaurant and the amount charged. Then he started insulting me and didn't let me leave the place without paying again. He said awful things to me and also uttered obscenities right into my ear. In sum, the owner of this place is a swindler.
There must be a reason why people queue for a certain restaurant and this is one of them. It was worth the wait for the first time but our 2nd time on this restaurant, we came a little late for lunch around 3 PM so it’s less people and almost no queue. On 1st dine in, we tried their famous calamari and mussels! And wow, absolutely tasty!!! Our 2nd time, we still ordered the calamari partnered with fried little fishes black risotto. Amazing food and experience. Staff tried their best to accommodate their customers. Their house wine Marastina complemented well with seafoods. Definitely a must try and it’s just steps away from WALK OF SHAME!
