Description

Panera Bread has garnered a range of customer experiences, revealing both commendable service and frustrating shortcomings. While some patrons enjoy the delicious menu and cozy atmosphere, issues with curbside pickup delays and inconsistent staff interactions mar the overall impression. Complaints about communication lapses, untraining staff accusations, and frustrating changes to cup policies for hot beverages have surfaced frequently. Though some employees, like James, offer exceptional service, there’s a call for more consistent training to enhance the customer experience across all locations. With delicious food and pleasant ambiance, Panera has potential, but improvement in service reliability is essential.

My main concern with Panera Bread recently is their new cup policy. As someone with COPD, I often order food and need a large cup of hot water for my Yogi tea, which helps with my respiratory issues. Previously, I could easily grab a cup and fill it up myself, but now I have to ask for a cup, and I'm only given a small one, as if I were a child. I really appreciated the independence of being able to serve myself hot water in a regular-sized cup rather than having to request a smaller one from the cashier. While I can ask for a larger cup, it was much more convenient not to have to ask at all. It may seem trivial since it’s just a cup, but sometimes those little comforts make a big difference. If Panera Bread had tea that helped with my respiratory problems, I would order it, but since they don’t, I bring my own. Please consider allowing customers to access cups without needing to ask a cashier.

I've noticed that every time I use a coupon for a "pick two" to-go order, they skip including the croutons. I'm not sure if this is intentional because I'm using a coupon, but this has happened to me multiple times. It's frustrating to experience such poor service.

We strolled in about 30 min before closing. Team was patient with us and let us take the time to choose our food.Food came out fast and was delicious and they even made and put out fresh tea as the station was already cleaned up.
