I was actually a little surprised at this place. As with most farms, I would like to compare the big three. For me, this is fried chicken, Mac and cheese, and greens. You can usually say from these three how everything else tastes. The greens were great, cooked and seasoned. The fried chicken was just a bit over boiled, but I really like the crust and the taste. Service was great. Food not so great. Catfish were over cooked. Shrimp were good. Not much of a selection. Definitely not the same as years past. Only five seafood selections. View all feedback.
The service was excellent, but the food didn't quite meet expectations. The catfish was overcooked, while the shrimp were tasty. However, the selection was quite limited; there were only five seafood options available, which is a significant decrease compared to previous years.
I have been a customer here for many years, but under the new ownership, I've noticed a significant decline in both the selection and quality of the food.
Best southern food hands down in all of GA. I live in Atl and there is no good soul food spots here. I take road trips to Savannah regularly and every time I stop by and grab 2 to go plates. Will be headed down there again next weekend and I can't wait!
Place is very nice to dine in. They could easily seat 100-150 people. Food is great and desert is a good selection. One of the best places I have found in Georgia to enjoy a wonderful meal. It was my first time there and it definitely will not be my last time. Thanks Ole Times!
Came here at lunch to get something to eat as soon as the diner opened and was disappointed at how the food display looked. Many of the vegetables seemed to be sitting in liquid, the beef tips or stew was not tasty. The chicken was ok, but not good, but edible. The salad bar display did not look good, so I skipped it. The peach dessert was very gummy and left a bad after taste in my mouth. I have not eaten at this restaurant in two years due to job relocation and I'm amazed at how much the food quality of this Ole Country Buffet has changed compared to the other Country Buffets in other neighboring cities. I'm giving it 2 stars only because the staff at counter are so friendly when you enter and leave, and because of the one guy that kept bringing the food out to the bar answered my question. On the way out I noticed there were not as many people at this restaurant as it has been in the past during lunch hours. Needless to say when I came back two days later with a guest I steered them to another restaurant. Manager/Owner please bring the quality of your food back.SOON.
