We ordered Combination 1, and the seafood was cooked to perfection! We chose medium spice, but unfortunately, it didn't have much heat. I also ordered a side of the volcanic sauce for $2. When I mixed the middle sauce with the volcanic sauce, it was incredibly delicious! I highly recommend mixing both sauces! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Hot Crab:
I ordered the Cajun dish, but it lacked flavor. I find this restaurant to be overpriced for what they serve. The garlic noodles had barely any sauce on them, and the temperature of the food was inconsistent—some parts were hot while others were cold. View all feedback.
This place requires an additional fee when you eat inside. On my birthday, my family of 6, gave the server a tip and then when we went to pay and she added a service fee that totaled over $70. When I got the reception, you can see in the eyes of the waiting staff that they expected me to be crazy. They often have to experience that. The waitress was nice, so I paid and went with my family, although my parents were upset. Will either Rays Crab Shack in Fremont or Boiling Crab in San Jose or just take the food home. But remember to check your food, they often forget everything you order. As far as taste, its all right. The sauces are more liquid and thinner than boiling crabs and Rays crabs. The seafood does not seem to be fresh and the crab legs over boiled and muddy. This place is good if you? re ordering take out and maybe just a pound of shells or shrimps. Everything else, I'd just take a 30-minute drive elsewhere.
The service was pleasant and the food was all good. Got the combo 3 to share since I was not that hungry. It was so good that I wanted more. One claim was sandy but the shrimp was perfect. We mixed up the sauce since we couldn't decide on which one. Will go back again.
I usually go to San Jose to get some crab/crawfish but was craving it late and looked it up and found this place. Always seen it but never got a chance to come in. Well it didn't disappoint super nice staff and the seasoning was very tasty! Got the lemon pepper wings and fries for sides loved it. The crab and shrimp was very delicious will deff be back!
This is a very tasty gem that we stubbled upon. The wife was craving for a cajun seafood joint along the lines of BC. We frequent this shopping center a lot and I've always noticed Hot Crab but didn't quite paid it any attention. So rather than driving to San Jose I decided to bring her over here. The waiter was nice and greeted us at the front door. We came on a Sunday afternoon around 11am so there was no wait. We got a booth and the place looked really clean and nicely kept. Order the crawfish, shrimp, and clams med spice and all seasonings. The boys had the lemon pepper wings a fries. The food came out quickly and I was surprised at how good it tasted. Everything about the seasoning was delish. The butter was not to heavy and the mixture was perfect. The crawfish was fresh and the clams was nice a big. Kids loved the wings. We have came back 3 times already and each time the experience was just as good.
Went there yesterday. Ordered combo #2. It included 1lb shrimps, 1lb crawfish, 1lb clams, had 2 potatoes, 2 corns, sausages, and you can pick your appetizer (we picked cajun wings). The portions were so big. The combo #2 was enough for me and my husband and we had some leftover. So I'd say one combo is enough for 3 people. So the pricing is very vey reasonable. The wings were really yummy. The sauce we picked for the combo was the mixed sauce in medium hot. It was so yummy. I loved the flavor. The medium was not hot at all for me. I'm Indian so I'm used to much more hot stuff ? The staff was very nice and helpful. But overall I loved my experience at the restaurant.
