The ambience was perfect with low noise levels, making it easy to have a conversation. The service was excellent in every way.

Fish is a particular strengt... read more The food is well prepared and presented. The plentiful supply of fresh vegetables, cooked al dente, with main courses is admirable. Fish is a particular strength, as is the Gnocchi dish I had earlier this week. The staff are very attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere is relaxed and good for conversation. Overall a positive experience.

We stayed two nights in the Brooks hotel while in Dublin. I thought the hotel was very nice and in a good location for walking to the main attractions we planne... read more We stayed two nights in the Brooks hotel while in Dublin. I thought the hotel was very nice and in a good location for walking to the main attractions we planned on visiting. I give them a 4 only because we arrived at the hotel after a long international flight at 11:30 am local time. We asked if they had a room available since we desperately needed a shower and short nap to recover. They said yes, but it would be $30 euro. As we were exhausted we said ok, however, it is not like they were going to give the room to someone else for 3.5 hours. This seemed like a chintzy way to treat your guests when you had the room clean already. Not a good look for such a nice hotel. It is the little things that you remember when choosing a hotel.
