What Johnny Hurtig doesn't like about Vintage Cocktail Club:
Had booked a table but happened to open the wrong door and was refused entry, I only have experience with the stairs upstairs and the unpleasant person with reservations in hand outside the door, Bergis is super nice but don't open the wrong door because then you go out straight away !! The cheeseboard was sublime, some wonderful cheeses. I really enjoyed learning about the history of cocktails in the menu, which is sorted by different eras. Book in advance, as it seems popular. You will also need to find it, although that is now too hard! Price per person: €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Cheese Platter
Overall we enjoyed our experience at Vintage cocktails, a speakeasy in Dublin. We had a “hard time” finding it until we saw quite a few people outside all talking about the same thing. Once we were led to the bar it definitely had cozy, intimate vibes. We ordered the punch which was MASSIVE. Luckily, the alcohol content seemed low because we shared it amongst three of us, and if it was strong we might have not gotten back to our hotel. But at the same time be aware that it is not strong- and you’re paying more for the atmosphere and nuance. Overall, I would recommend for an after dinner drink. Nice place. They have cocktails by year. Not easy to spot from the outside. A Harry Potter sink and a doorbell to get in. Would recommend booking as no guarantee you'll get in. 11/10 recommend this place.
Awesome place with great cocktails (including non-alcohol) and atmosphere. A must visit place for every tourist visiting Dublin. Price per person: €50–60 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
