The French Paradox

Great French wine shop. We stopped by to grab a bottle to celebrate one evening. The shop attendant was very knowledgeable and helpful. There's so many options that it's easy to be overwhelmed but he was extremely helpful and even helped to open the cork for us on our way out.

We went here for New Year's Eve and I was worried it was going to be terrible because it was easy to get a reservation on Open Table. Turns out we were just lucky and this place and the people who work there are a treasure. Do have the smoked duck and the chocolate terrine. And some cheese...and a few kinds of wine....and maybe some to take home. Plan on enjoying every sip and bite.

Good wine, good food and close to the Aviva stadium for an after match bite. What is not to like?!

The French paradox is a cozy, quaint, warm and inviting restaurant located In Ballsbridge Dublin. The interior is decorated creatively, with a small town atmosphere. They have an extensive wine list and are quite knowledgeable in wine pairings. Superb service compliments their classy and tasteful menu! A must visit when in Dublin!!

Go here! A lovely wine bar with just a few tables outside to enjoy the (all too short-lived) Irish summer weather. The food is simple, rustic but finely done! The onion soup and cassoulets are winners. But the real stars are the bartender/manager who will help you choose exactly what you are in the mood for and the wine list. A great selection to enjoy here or take home for later. I'm so glad to have found this spot!
