I recently visited this hotel for a 2-day conference and had a hard time finding it, eventually having to rely on a taxi for directions. The coffee during breaks was decent, but the lunch of soup and sandwiches was terrible. The soup was overly thick and stew-like, with no alternatives offered. After being given the runaround by Justeat, Urban Kitchen's click and collect service came to the rescue with absolutely fabulous food. The chicken wings and kids meals were excellent, and the Lamb Shank was tender and flavorful. We have dined here before and will definitely be returning soon. 5 stars for both the service and the food!
Rare steak overcooked to the point of being grey. Replacement meal so tough you could not cut it with a steak knife. Waited an hour between starters and mains.
I came here for a family meal to celebrate a birthday. Well where do I begin, firstly the menu is tiny with very little selection, we had ordered our food only to be informed afterward that certain items on the menu were unavailable. Secondly, we had ordered our food at 8 o clock and we recieved our starters at twenty past 9.When we asked staff where our food was we were met with hasty and unhelpful replies.The staff themselves could have used some basic training in dealing with paying customers and their manner was often too casual and unprofessional for a formal occasion and setting.Eventually our main courses began to appear,slowly they trailed out from the kitchen.Some of our party were left waiting for twenty minutes when others had already recieved their main.Another member,recieved nothing.The staff and kitchen did not notice that she had been left without food and when we complained they seemed confused and unhelpful to find a solution.It is worth mentioning that the restaurant was quiet at this time and seemed to be well staffed,however I’m not sure what was occupying the staffs time and it was not customer service.We cut our visit here short and the night only went up from there.Don’t waste your time.
We returned to hotel late, kids were hungry so we came into the bar and ordered pizza and chips. it was nice and kids ate the lot
