The Corner Note - Dublin

I don’t usually give Google reviews, but as this was the most insulting service experience I’ve had I feel it necessary to warn others. Old rude woman serving us berated us publicly for wanting tea and coffee rather than a full lunch, but only after giving us a table and a server took our drinks orders. Had we known we had to order hot food (the establishment looks like your average cafe or diner) we would have never sat down let alone ordered our tea/coffee. After being barked at we tried to order some small plates/sides, chips, salad etc, and was told no, that we had to order full (overpriced) meals. Should have paid for the drinks and left, but having been berated by the staff and not having been given any recourse pay, ended up staying. Worst place I’ve been in Ireland so far!

Went for a stroll around dalkey on an October Saturday morning and came across this nice restaurant .. stood at the front door as you have to wait to be seated .. within a minute I was greeted by a member of staff ..while seated, a glass of refreshing water was placed on my table. the menu was well detailed .I went for the world famous breakfast ..and It did not disappoint overall extremely good,, well polite staff service excellent well done Service: Dine in
