While some staff were not wearing masks, the atmosphere was friendly and the food was good. The Sunday carvery is a standout, with a chef named Charlie who adds character to the experience. Prices are reasonable, and the staff are helpful and polite. Despite some noise levels, especially during functions, the overall experience at this hidden gem of a pub is enjoyable and worth a visit for a delicious carvery.
We had lunch here yesterday,I enquired and was told just carvery, they apologised, neednt of.It was superb, good service, good food, and plenty of it,highly reccommend
The lunch was barely passable. The roast beef was burned. We a burned roast beef lunch. We could not eat the crusty black beef we were served. Its a shame as it used to be nice.
The menu consists of the bog standard options found in every pub restaurant but really well presented. Good portion sizes, friendly staff and not too hard on the pocket.
Thought we d give this pub a second chance last visit was dreadful. However nothing has changed. Bar man was extremely unfriendly rude couldn't even speak just banged drinks down and grunted price. All staff seemed miserable. If you visit other pubs in general area you are welcomed with a smile and told to sit down we ll send drinks over... try other pubs in area......
As said here by others quite a few staff not wearing masks at all, tables are well spread out and felt safe other than the staff not wearing masks, the food was very good and we enjoyed our few drinks in a friendly atmosphere.
