Hillbilly's - Dublin

My favourite chicken place in Dublin! The food is always freshly cooked (chicken is steaming hot), the skin is nice and salty, and don't get me started on the gravy. The gravy is a MUST here! On Tuesday there's a buy 1 get 1 free for snack box

All the family used to love this place, it was the best chicken around. But unfortunately they have got complacent. They are way overcharging for food that has gone downhill. My son's wouldn't go anywhere else. It was way better than mc Donald's or burger King. Now we would all prefer to go to either you would get much better value and quality.The owner made very weak reply, let's just see how things are going to change. I wish places like this should get a grip and stop ripping people off.

2 stars for the fact the food was nice. Maybe consider hiring more staff, this is the 2nd time I've arrived to collect an order and we've been left short on the food we ordered. Had to go back to pick up what we were missing and no one was answering the phone. The staff looked stressed out so you can't completely blame them as they're obviously overwhelmed.

I just wanted to put in writing my appreciation of the staff and management in Hillbilly’s in fairview. Their chicken was always good but on Friday last we purchased the family meal and two things stood out. The first was the way it was packed. Side by side so that there was no damage to the portions. The second was the chips. Hillbilly’s has recently changed the chips they use. They tasted like chipper chips instead of the frozen ones served previously. Couple the above with the fresh and perfectly cooked chicken and the superb gravy and we had the best fried chicken I’ve ever tasted. Well done all. Now all you have to do is open a restaurant in Dublin 11.

Lovely choice for fried chicken. I hadn’t been for 2 years but it didn’t disappoint still the same chicken and gravy. Swerve the fries though. Will be back some day
