Best steakhouse in Dublin with great staff and super selection of vino.

Snug venue, with really good food and healthy portions. Had a dozen oysters, a chicken Sunday roast with a bottle of white wine, finished with a deconstructed cheese cake all ordered for 2. Price was 110. The only bother for me was the high tables. They are a bit uncomfortable to sit in as the foot stands are pretty small. Otherwise the atmosphere, service and pace at which food was served was all stellar.

They have a tried and tested menu at the Butcher's Grill and the ingredients(except the beef) are very good quality. The problem I had was that a lot of what we got was under seasoned and bland, in particular the scallop and pork belly starter, it's not a good sign when the nicest part was the little bit of chargrilled broccoli. The cote de boeuf we had was nearly 50% grisle and fat, I know ribeye is meant to have marbling but this was just a very poor quality piece of beef. I've had much better cote de boeuf elsewhere so I know how good it can be. I think the chef needs to make a call and not serve it when it's below a certain standard. Other than that the service and drinks were great.

I do not often leave reviews, but both the service and the food were exceptional.
