I have been to The Def Chef for breakfast and lunch on several occasions when in Dubbo. Whilst it does get a bit busy on weekend mornings it is still comfortable and this just shows how popular it is with the regular locals! We went out of these peak times too and had a wonderful time. The staff are chatty and cheerful, happy to recommend things and seem genuinely happy to be there. Owner Andrew was always behind the... View all feedback.

Have been out to breakfast here twice; The first time on a Sunday morning, our breakfast took 1 hour to arrive, the couple beside us got fed up and left, however they were extremely short staffed that day. No apology was given to us for the wait time however. I wasn't very impressed, the food was delicious though, and the coffee was fine. The second time the wait staff were incredibly helpful, happy to discuss my all... View all feedback.
With our two girls for breakfast. The staff was nice and put two tables together to put us in the house. The service was great as the means and coffee.
The service was average to say the least I waited inside that the staff looked at me there during the chat, then you said you need to move down to order... aprrent if you are not at the exact place they are not taking orders! At any rate, coffee, eggs and a bacon and eggroller ordered. Meals came out within a good time, I would have got the bacon and the egg roll as it was HEAPS BETTER as the fried eggs. Coffee was good. When a friend showed up who came to us, they had the same problem in ordering and the coffee took forever she went back into the interior seemed to have been missed. Food is good
I ordered avocado on toast with 2 chopped eggs, but was a little disappointed because it was literally a piece of bread, avo and eggs with only minimal feta. had to add a considerable amount of salt and pepper. My husband's food was a little bit small. But not too bad overall. Coffee was good!
Good coffee, but $6:50 for 2 small pieces Stale Rosin Toast was above the top. Thanks for opening Christmas holidays.
A welcome smile greeted us while we undertook Covid checkin and customer service was excellent. Coffee I would strongly recommend and was surprised at the constant stream of locals getting their morning takeaways. menu was well laid out and gave you bread /toast inclusions, a great idea. Food portions were very generous and cooked to perfection. Best cafe brekkie I have had for quite awhile.
