What User doesn't like about Short Street Store:
Fantastic menu and great space, away from the main roads. Giving less stars because they charge $4 for an extra plate !? To be clear, this is with no splitting of a meal by the kitchen, no extra side portions, no handling. Just the plate, to cover costs of washing'. Having spent nearly $50 on breakfast on a weekday, with fairly few patrons dining, as a visitor I felt this to be an unfriendly move by the business. We... View all feedback.

I attended a friends baby shower here and the set up in the patio was divine. Short Street Store catered for the event and absolutely everything was delicious. The coffee was great too.I would not hesitate to go back there and definitely plan to when i visit Dubbo again in future.I will say that if this was my local I'd be here on the daily.
Was directed here my motel staff as a reccomendation for breakfast. A small but interesting selection of meals. I had Nasi Goreng while my wife had traditional Bacon and Eggs. Well cooked at a reasonable price. A continuous stream of locals coming in for dine in and takeaways.
The other reviewers have rightly said how good the food and the staff is. Few have said how reasonable the prices are. My wife's extended family lunched on the occasion of her father's 92nd birthday. 9 adults ate a filling lunch for less than $20 a head. But there is a problem. The entry steps are steep and narrow and those to the (otherwise excellent) courtyard are not only steep and narrow but unsupported by handrails. My disabled daughter had a very hard (and unsettling) time navigating the stairs. Access for people with disabilities would be a great help!
Friendly, hospitable, vibrant team. great food served with a smile. plenty if parking - great sunny spot. both had big breakfast & coffees. Delicious & BIG.
