Was in town for work, came here twice for lunch - first time was great, I ordered the schnitzel, the second time I got the pasta and it was a little bland. But otherwise good atmosphere and friendly staff and reasonably priced meals. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Castlereagh Hotel:
Cheap eats, average food and horse racing action. Pub is a little on the loud side. Cheap beer and plenty of seating. There is also a Casino this place has it. Old times feel to the place very Australia. View all feedback.
We decided to go for dinner with friends on a Tuesday night. All meals were reallyNice a tasted delicious. The menu is big enough and the prices are very reasonable. They also have trivia on Tuesday nights from 7pm which is free to play. Monday nights is 2 for 1 night. That's buy one main meal get a second free. Do yourself a favour and give it a try.

Excellent pub bistro food at competitive prices. Service is good, the beer is good and staff are friendly and helpful.
Booked a pre Show dinner here on a Saturday night. The meals were delicious, very fast service and staff friendly. Highly recommend this pub!
Beautiful old hotel, staff lovely even though extremely busy were helpful.I took a friend and l was paying for both, we picked from the excellent menu which included Five $10 specials, when l paid staff said $13.50 please. I replied I am paying for both, yes Mondays it's buy one meal get one free.Meals were large, tasty and totally recommendable.
