Bakhita's To Go - Dubbo

We had a great meal at this restaurant. The gnocchi was delicious and my husband enjoyed his burrito. The kids loved the sausage roll, spinach and cheese roll, and meat pie. We also enjoyed seeing the spider monkeys and lemurs during or after our meal.

A trip to the zoo would be even more enjoyable if the coffee and food options were improved.

We were visiting friends just outside of Dubbo, and at their recommendation we decided to have breakfast at the zoo. We enjoyed a delicious meal with a changing view of the beautiful surroundings. The food had improved since my last visit, and the coffee was surprisingly excellent. Watching the squirrel monkeys and spider monkeys playing on their islands by the lake was a delightful addition to our morning. The prices for breakfast, including coffee and juice, were reasonable. My only complaint would be that they were a bit stingy with the hollandaise sauce on my eggs benedict. The restaurant is perfect for families, with plenty of outdoor seating in the shade and a fantastic park just a short walk from the lake. Best of all, it's all free as you are actually outside the zoo itself!

The queuing system is terrible allowing for confusion and stress. Food is terrible, worse than airline food. So disappointing.

The cafe has enough varieties for lunch and ice cream too. Not sure about brunch. The vegetable stir fried noodles was not a very choice as it was too greasy and too big veggie cuts to handle. The vegetables were cut so big and so...thick and it really makes it hard to hold them with those wooden cutlery. The Asian staff at the counter was so rude while taking order. If the cafe don’t have a proper way to handle the queue during crowded days, then I think they should fix that but instead being rude to the customers is not a good idea.
