I and a friend ate there last weekend, it was SO good that we went there again on yesterday. My favorite is the grilled cod, it is so fresh and flavorful. I had the fish n' chips on my first experience and it was also fresh with so much flavor and goodness with the wonderful sides you get. I highly recommend this place. What Anne Marie doesn't like about The Fish Grill:
The bowl I got was ok and pretty big, but there was a flavor I wasn't wild about. The salmon filet on top was cooked perfectly and the elote off-the-cob was delicious. We picked this place after seeing churros on the online menu, but the waiter said they were out. The bowl I got was ok and pretty big, but there was a flavor I wasn't wild about. The salmon filet on top was cooked perfectly and the elote off-the-cob was delicious. We picked this place after seeing churros on the online menu, but the waiter said they were out. We came at about noon on a weekday but it took a while for anyone to notice we were waiting and come seat us. It was nice sitting in the round room at the front and being able to see the mountains. I liked the decor inside the restaurant. The music was too loud for me. I've gotten take-out from here once before and the cali fish burrito was pretty good.
Tasty food! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20
Since my wife and I can't eat any red meat during the lent period. We have to look for other alternatives. Saw The Galley Fish Grill on yelp and decided to give it a try. The clam chowder tastes a little blended and too watery. The breaded fish is too small, even though there are 6 pieces. The fish burrito and Mahi Mahi are the best, they are very flavorful. I love the garnish on the Mahi Mahi, they use mango and red sweet pepper. Overall, they are all good, especially for the price, I paid around $60 for all these.
We had the Fish Chips along with a side of esquite. The server was very very attentive and friendly. The food was generously served on a large wooden platter, pippin hot. There was so much food that I couldn't eat it all but you can bet I was glad to take the remainder home for an midnight snack. Everything was fresh and delicious and the price was very reasonable considering all that was on the platter. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you're in the Monrovia/Duarte area of Southern California. BTW/ loved the musical selection with the exception of someone slipping in the Backstreet Boys' As Long As You Love. The transition from rhythmic Salsa music to Boy Band Blah did not sit well with my taste buds but maybe that's just me Vegetarian options: There were vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu which my daughter enjoyed. Parking: It's a shared parking lot but spaces are available. Wheelchair accessibility: The door and floor space inside the restaurant meets all the is A.D.A. Very spacious. Dietary restrictions: The portions that we got were seasoned well but the food was light. The menu served so many dishes to satisfy varying palettes.
