Village Québécois D'antan

I am an Anglophone who speaks French well. Although I didn 't understand all the expressions used by that day (ex: by the town cryer, at the x-ray and the idea inventing machine) I thoroughly enjoyed the village experience. The villagers stay in character all day (they move around in the village) and they have some adorable story lines (the men who came back from their 10-month logging trip, the pregnant wife who complains about her husband, etc). You begin by entering a time machine tunnel (very effective) and you can spend hours there with family or friends (any age). The experience this year was very different from last year so I don 't know if this was a (positive) one time upgrade or if they change the village experience from time to time.

Not much to do. No blacksmith. Overpriced and the farm was devoid of animals. Staff were nice, but really sparse experience.

Very pretty environment and friendly staff. Overall a pleasant Christmas experience but don't go expecting to eat a meal there, make sure you bring some sandwiches in a backpack. They ran out of food at the restaurant, but they do have plenty of shops where you can buy baked goods

Nice place to spend a fall afternoon with the little ones. We went to the special event L 'aventure des petits monstres and my daughter had lots of fun ... there was a lot of people though which was more or less expected.

My wife and I went to the haunted village on a Friday evening 2022. The haunted houses were decent, nothing amazing. The biggest issue was the amount of people on site. They were at max capacity, but the capacity they allow is clearly too high because it resulted in lines that took a minimum of 30minutes of waiting time for any small, haunted house. Those houses would result in an average of 1min experience once in the house.We were there for about 2h30 and only managed to get 4 houses done. We didn't dare to try haunted chapel because that line was about 6x longer than any other line. We heard other people on site talk and mentioning that this year there was way too many people and that previous years wait were not as long.Overall, I think if the wait was much shorter and more houses could be experienced in the same amount of time, then my score would go to a 3 or a 4 star, but as it is I would not recommend it for the price.
