Guests rave about exceptional starters, perfectly cooked steaks, and sumptuous lobster, all accompanied by reasonably priced wines. The attentive staff foster a warm and welcoming environment, making every visit feel special. Highlights include a standout roast dinner, praised for its generous portions and depth of flavor. Was Bruce Clarke at Hanley's a mag?

I visited the restaurant for the first time last night, and it’s been a long time since I enjoyed a meal this much. The wine prices are very reasonable, with most bottles costing under £20. The starter was excellent. My wife had the lobster, which was delicious, and I had a sirloin steak that was perfectly cooked and juicy, complemented by a spicy pepper sauce. Overall, it was a fantastic experience! View all feedback.

We were nearby and decided to have a family dinner. We made a reservation at the restaurant, and the dining experience was fantastic; we loved everything about it. Sean, Karen, and the staff made us feel right at home. We would definitely recommend this place and are already looking forward to our next visit!

I visited with my family, consisting of four adults and two children, for a Sunday lunch. We ordered two roast beef meals (one gluten-free), two lamb dishes, one child's roast, and one pasta dish. The clean plates were proof of how enjoyable the meal was. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The only downside was that the coffee machine was out of order, so we had to go home for some. The prices are comparable to other local restaurants, and the quality of the food was excellent. We’ll definitely return to try the evening menu!

First visit to this new restaurant today for Sunday lunch. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we stepped over the threshold. Our reserved table was a bit poky and hard to access but they changed it to another table without us having to ask. Wanting to leave space for pudding, we skipped starters and ordered the roast beef (served pink) with all the trimmings. We could hardly see the waitress when she brought our plates piled high with succulent Givendale beef, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, roast and mashed potatoes and lashings of gravy plus a separate dish of fresh vegetables, horseradish sauce and extra gravy. I can honestly say it was the best roast dinner I have had in a long time. My companion was in full agreement. Our only problem now was that neither of us could manage a dessert. Never mind. Must remember to forego a meal or two before our next visit to this wonderful restaurant. And no, I don't know the owners (since I'm praising them so highly) but there is so much mediocrity in the dining out experiences of Driffield and the East Riding that I am overjoyed for there to now be a high class establishment in our own lovely town. May I wish you much luck and happiness in your new venture.

Love in this place....the whole day breakfast is great as eating in the evening service. we have used them a few times for the retreat during the lockdown and as always impressed with the quality of food, portion size and price. I would suggest, however, that the owner/manager did not have phone calls near dinner.

Love this place....all day breakfast is great, as is the food in evening service. We have used them a couple of times for takeaway during lockdown and impressed as ever with the quality of the food, portion size and price. I would however suggest the owner/manager doesn't sit close to dinners have phone conversations...
