This charming family-owned Italian restaurant is fantastic! I've never had a bad meal here. I ordered the chicken Verdicchio, which features chicken in a delicious garlic butter sauce with white wine, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, capers, and sun-dried tomatoes, all served over linguine. What User doesn't like about Mama's Italian:
Today, I ordered bruschetta and chicken cacciatore, and the chicken was delicious. I wish I could say the same about the bruschetta. I was expecting a generous serving of fresh tomatoes on crusty bread, like I've had at The Cheesecake Factory and Fratello in Nashua. I’m heading to Mama's for some Italian food. The food is fantastic, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is delightful—definitely a perfect 5 across the board!
This restaurant offers excellent homestyle food. The shrimp verdicchio is a must-try—absolutely fantastic! For dine-in dinner, the experience is great. The price per person is reasonable at $20–30. Overall, I would rate the food and service both 5 out of 5, while the atmosphere gets a solid 4.
I truly enjoyed my lunch; everything was delicious. My server, Debi, was extremely polite, helpful, and genuinely kind. I noticed that she managed to attend to every table on her own without assistance. However, about 20 to 30 minutes after I started eating, another staff member came out to take orders. I believe it would be more efficient if older employees focused on taking orders while younger staff could handle delivering food to tables. This division of labor would streamline operations and prevent older employees from becoming overwhelmed. Debi is a dedicated and hard worker, and I hope she continues to be part of the team. For my next visit, I would love to see more younger staff members assisting with food delivery while she takes care of customer orders. Additionally, I observed that the woman at the front greeting customers could lend a hand when employees are busy; it would be beneficial if she helped take orders instead of just sitting idly after seating customers. I look forward to returning and hope to see some improvements on this front. As for kid-friendliness, the restaurant is great for children; they just need to be seated in a quieter area away from older patrons.
