The Chicago dogs at this restaurant are fantastic and the hand-cut crispy fries are the best! Having grown up in Chicago, I know how a dog should taste in true Chicago style, and this place nails it. The service was very fast - I ordered the 2-dog special and it was ready in just 3 minutes. While some may find the prices a bit on the high side, I believe it was well worth it. What User doesn't like about Scooby's Hot Dogs:
I have been coming back to this restaurant in the western suburbs for 10 years now. It is a classic hot dog stand that serves delicious hot dogs, burgers, gyros, and turkey burgers. However, the main attraction for me is the handcuffed fries. They are truly perfect - hand-cut, double fried, with a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior. I highly recommend making the journey from Glen Ellyn just for these fries. View all feedback.
Really great. eating is notch. everything I've tried so far was great. the Gyros-value/ball for her buck cant beat, only cook kisses of wonderful. Delicious and fed me and my wife, then again over several meals and I am not tiny, lol.
Everything you want in a Chicago dog in a fun, retro styled place. A must go
Hot dog was decent, burger was good but the bun was a bit much. Fries needed a bit more salt. Need to try the shake though.
Burnt food. Old oil for frys. Slow. Burger was like an italian beef but it was from the sauce not the burger juice.
Friendly register order was done as asked. Food was preped and served as the same time and they have bottles of sodas as well as fountain drinks.Great food!
