We keep coming back to the Rockwood, and now our friends keep wanting to meet us there! We always have good meals at reasonable prices--our hits last Friday were Cedar Planked Salmon and a burger. We also inevitably like the servers--effective and fun characters! View all feedback.
What Ellie Reilly doesn't like about Rockwood Tap House:
Rockwood talks a good game about their burgers being the best but that isn't the case. Sure, you can make them on the premises from a mixture of ground meats, etc. but they don't taste any better than any number of places. And what's the point anyway when a table like ours orders one medium-rare, one medium, and one medium well and they all come out the same (medium well). Very nice restaurant! beautiful atmosphere. Eating is very good. rueben sandwich is very tasty. would definitely recommend. server are very attentive to everyone needs.

One of my favorite dining places in downers grove il. love the pork chops and salmon and the cream of the chicken soup on Saturday is the best.
I have dinner with the family. the restaurant was empty at 5:30 o'clock, but the service was fast, the food was delicious and we had a pleasant dinner.
I routinely get the ribs, which usually are outstanding but I usually order at dinner time. This date ordered during lunch and they were just average. Seemed like they had been reheated. Still a go to place for good value and ribs.
