I love this place. The fried rice, pork egg rolls and sesame chicken are excellent! They're hard at the portions that's always a plus. Great taste and many remains. Staff are always friendly and wear masks. Takeout is fast and easy. I highly recommend it. View all feedback.
What Randy W doesn't like about Lao Sze Chuan:
The dishes were edible but not enjoyable; either too salty or just bland. It tasted as though the chef was upset and now I'm upset too. The server was nice and tried to get me a replacement dish but it still came out sad. It's your standard corny Chinese decor and I grew up with it at our Chinese restaurants that my family owned. Food is authentic, well prepared, at reasonable prices. I thought the sweet and sour fish was too sweet; the fish with black bean sauce is better. The aubergine in Beijing style is also very good. My wife loves spicy food and this restaurant has a wide choice.

I've had both more traditional Chinese dishes and American-Chinese dishes here and they have all been really good. Not to mention that the service when calling over the phone and picking up the food is fast, accurate, and really nice. I especially recommend the Salt and Pepper Prawns (422) and their Three Chili Chicken (I think it is the Tony's Chicken with Three Chili if you are ordering online, 614) which I think is WAY better than Orange Chicken. Those two dishes are not very spicy so they are perfect for people that are looking to avoid the heat. Their spicy dishes are on the spicier side but never to the point where the spice is overwhelming. For spicy things I do like their Chef's Special Dry Chili Chicken (601) and their Mapo Tofu (801). Some of the best Mapo Tofu I've had.
Found this place by accident while driving on Ogden. The food is excellent and the service outstanding. A great selection of items that arrive hot with friendly cordial service. Prices are fair and portions are good. This for sure is our new go to place as we are happy to find a place that has not decided It is easier to make a quick buck and not open the restaurant and only handle delivery or pick up. Restaurants do that lead me to believe that they are filthy inside.
