Very disappointed we had to wait over 30 minutes past our reservation time to even be seated. They seemed to be overwhelmed. Once seated, 10 minutes before a server approached us so overall set a bad tone for dinner......food good as usual. View all feedback.
What Jerrell Howe doesn't like about Capri-downers Grove:
We were seated 35 minutes later than reserved time, but found seats at bar to pass time. Server seemed harried and came across as abrupt and not particularly friendly...hopefully this was because they were busy? Food was their shining light and we all enjoyed our meals! It was a bit loud for easy conversation. But we will try it again. View all feedback.
I would highly recommend this ristorant. The atmosphere is very nice and it is very clean. The Chicken Vesuvio and Braciole were excellent. The portions were great. I am very picky about my Italian cuisine as I learned to cook from a woman from Italy. And again very impressed. Lindy was out server she was very friendly and knowledgeable. The wine recommendations were on site. She didn't rush us at her time. Ask her when you go to dinner. When I go back and I will. Pinot Noir will be my wine of choice. The Pinot Grigio I had last night was very good. Can't say enough about this place. This Ristorante is a MUSS!!
We celebrated my sister's birthday there tonight the food was great, all our dinners were on the square, thumbs on the Risotto and my husband and son are huge fans of your spicy red sauce on various dishes, large Calamari and delicious artichoke appetizers. Our server Dominick was fantastic-kudos! Wonderful night!

The best homemade rigatoni pasta ever... the atmosphere is relaxed, but u will not look funny to go with a dress or a suit and you will not look strange with a jeans and a decent shirt... its definitely one has to go... Have fun and fun.
