Lovely fresh bread. Definitely recommend the wheaten bread. Not a great variety of pastries though. A small seating area which can be nice to nip in for a bowl of soup and a roll. View all feedback.
What EllieKIreland doesn't like about Cookie Jar:
Popped in here for scones and coffee after visiting Silent Valley. Scones were average, coffee was fine Unfortunately, and it is a big drawback, this cafe has no customer toilets. View all feedback.
The Cookie Jar is worth a visit. Sour Dough bread pastries an cakes were always a hit with the young and old alike. Not to be missed when visiting Newcastle
All their products are great but we go for the wheaten bread, but some for a son and daughter in law, they love it.
Excellent value for money and friendly staff. Can sit in or takeaway. Nice selection of food. Only disappointment is that there was no toaster to toast the hot cross buns and scones so this would put me off returning here.
This restaurant and bakery has been in business for many years and seems to get even better with age. The soda breads are delicious and a favourite with us is the coconut snowball.
Was here today with my dad and his partner. I really really enjoyed this place. I'm a big fan of coffee shops, bakery's etc and this one hit the spot. Had a warm refreshing cup of tea, a scone and a muffin. Really tasty, tender and soft. Would def recommend here to anyone.
