We had a great stay at Layla's Riverside Lodge this weekend while we were there for the Tough Mudder. The owner was very accommodating to me, my son and my dog. He cooked us a perfect breakfast, and I absolutely loved how dog-friendly this place is. Seriously, I've never been to a place that was more dog-friendly. My dog loved running in the backyard and had an absolute stream of cooling off directly in the stream! Beautiful location, location is perfect, the room was spotless and Sandy/The Owner was an amazing host.
After I just spent a night in Laylas Riverside Lodge, I stayed with many good memories. First, from the driver's point of view, it is a simple place to find very convenient location for access to fun places to go. Yes, it is dog-friendly as we have found during the review at very friendly dogs, including the youngest who have accompanied us in our room. In fact there are two dogs; a puppy is the most outgoing, the older is like a bigger, patient introverted type, but with confidence compliance and cured. Even after a while being there when the puppy came out of the local trip, the puppy wandered happily around our room (but polite and appropriate). In a shell the place is different warm, authentic and personalized, both for guests and dogs. There were clean dog beds everywhere, including rooms and dog dishes – but again very clean. I had a great breakfast made by the owner – because everything from local food sources (egg, bacon, syrup, French toast), uniquely delicious – I sat from the wood stove with a view of snow-covered fields, mountain side, etc. Obviously all rooms are completely different, no similarity, and many with real or gas-propane fireplaces. This is a guest house that behaves more like a breakfast in bed, with a staff that is more like local friends than regiment servant servants. Very VT.
Layla is a great place. It is very comfortable and welcoming. We have our time to meet the other guests and meet Sandy. Make sure... To chat with everyone during breakfast will prevent you from getting first tracks. It was great to bring Bailey our chocolate lab, she quickly made friends with Layla and Stella and then later the day she made two more friends when Atlas and Bo arrived. I look forward to being back soon!
I've stayed here twice and plan on staying here later this summer with some friends. I never stayed there before the Hotel Hell episode, but my wife, our dog, and I love the place and how caring staff and Sandy are. I would definitely recommend!
Just finished up a 3 day stay at Laylas. Everything was amazing. We had an awesome breakfast every morning and a great, cozy room that was perfect for our family. Buster was treated like a king and has 2 new buddies!! We also had dinner there and it was Delish!! Thanks to Sandy for a great stay.
