The White Horse - Dover

Make sure you reserve a table if you want to eat. Lovely service and staff are friendly. Big portions. My only complaint was that there were bones in the fish. The fish was soft, flakey and not greasy. Way better than a fish and chip shop. The walls contains writing of swimmers who swam across the channel to mark their achievement.

The staff who greeted us were fantastic. We had our little one with us, and although our child was sometimes a bit loud, they were incredibly patient and attentive. The dining experience exceeded our expectations and was, by far, the best meal we've had in the country. Thank you so much for welcoming our family and for being so considerate.

We stopped by the White Horse after visiting the White Cliffs of Dover. After a chilly, damp walk, stepping into the restaurant was a delightful experience. We started off with pints of Old Dairy Ale, which paired perfectly with our White Horse Burger and ribs. The ribs were incredibly tender and practically fell off the bone—absolutely delicious! Although we were quite hungry, it was clear that the staff genuinely cared for us. This is a fantastic place, and I highly recommend visiting when you're in Dover!

This charming pub serves truly exceptional food. The vegetarian torte was one of the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve tried quite a few), perfectly baked, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The desserts we sampled were equally outstanding. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere in the pub was very welcoming. If we were locals, this would definitely be a regular spot for us; as visitors, we’ll be sure to return here the next time we’re in the city.

Great place to stop and enjoy a beer and some delicious food. the hostes were very friendly and made us really welcome. the food was cooked to order and very tasty. large selection of wine and all very reasonable prices. will definitely go back!
