What User doesn't like about L'ovalie:
Very interesting place with a particular protocole French vibe. The menu is presented by the chef, and there are daily menus. My family and I were looking for a good dinner, but we were disappointed by the food. The menu had no vegetarian options (as we are vegetarians and what we were served lacked taste and flavor. It was not special'. I would not recommend if you are vegetarian. View all feedback.
In my opinion, L'Ovalie is one of the top 3 restaurants in Douala. The owner, Jerome, and his staff are very welcoming, the French cuisine is excellent, and there is a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available. What I appreciate the most is the creativity shown in the creation of new dishes using a combination of local and French ingredients.
Yes, the restaurant has improved its appearance, now looking more attractive, cozy, and easily accessible.
This restaurant has a unique French atmosphere with a special protocol. The chef presents the menu, which includes daily specials. Unfortunately, my family, who are vegetarian, were disappointed with the lack of vegetarian options. The food we were served was flavorless and uninspiring. Overall, we did not find the dining experience to be anything special and would not recommend it to vegetarian diners.
I had an awesome meal here, the foie gras and duck were amazing.
French cuisine at its best. An experience for the taste and the eyes. Very pricey but worth it
