Baby wanted dinner and I said let's do dinner somewhere we have eaten. I made a mistake ? choosing this establishment. The atmosphere at kinza is well designed. The service was not up standard our was a foreign national who spoke very little English. I requested a glass of water and a glass of the house Merlot wine. The wine was a complete and utter miss. I ordered the kinza house signature fried rice which would have been a simple house fried rice at any other restaurant serving Asian cuisine. The shrimp in my dish was diced up not one whole shrimp as well as overcooked. My love ordered the filet mignon with shrimp and fried rice. Her steak had been cut into little chunks resembling beef stew chunks. Her shrimp were also overcooked to the point she didn't want to eat them. She said the best part of her meal was the Miso soup ?. Otherwise her salad had too much salad dressing.

However, I found it unusual that this Japanese restaurant is primarily run by Hispanic staff; I didn't see a single Japanese individual, which might explain the experience. In contrast, I often visit Rock n Roll Sushi across town, which has consistently delivered a fantastic experience, even without any Japanese staff. Next time, I think I’ll just make the drive to Rock n Roll Sushi for a much better lunch. I would suggest skipping this place for a more enjoyable dining experience.
Always quiet, food is good. This time got the Dothan Roll and the Sunburst
I want to start by saying that we've been loyal customers of Kinza for years, especially during the time our child was in the NICU, when we visited at least twice a week. Just two weeks ago, we had a seamless experience and spent $45 on our meals. However, today we returned and ordered less, yet ended up paying $72, which left us very disappointed. The food was not up to par and, quite frankly, the service was lacking. My husband even had to search for a high chair because the staff didn’t show us where to find one or bring it over when we requested it. I understand that restaurants can have off days, but given the price we paid, we expected at least a decent meal. Unfortunately, both my child and I haven't felt well since eating there. We will not be returning.
