Reviews summary
Nestled within the DoubleTree Hotel, this restaurant offers a mixed experience for diners. While the ambiance is inviting and staff members demonstrate friendly, knowledgeable service, patrons often face long wait times indicative of understaffing. Menu offerings span from solid comfort food to standout dishes like onion soup and smoked meat poutine. Though the prices may lean towards the higher side and some dishes deliver only average flavors, diners appreciate the restaurant's awareness of dietary restrictions, especially regarding celiac disease. Overall, it provides a satisfactory dining option, especially for hotel guests seeking convenience without compromising on quality.

What dustin penner dislikes about Semaphore:
Waited nearly 10 minutes to be seated, 10 more to get a menu and water. The food was overpriced but tasted… okay. If the service, prices, and wait times were adjusted I’d give it 3 stars. View all feedback.

I have celiac disease, so we had to inquire about menu options that are safe for me to eat. We were pleasantly surprised to find that this restaurant, located at the DoubleTree Hotel, is very knowledgeable about celiac disease and avoiding cross contamination. My son ordered nachos and had no adverse reaction. The food was very good!

We had heard about the changes in management at the Hilton Garden Inn Airport restaurant, so we weren't sure what to anticipate for our final vacation meal. Our hopes were not high, but we were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food! The chicken with rice and salad, paired with a glass of wine, was outstanding. Despite our usual practice of sharing meals to save money, we found that there was plenty of food for both of us.
The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. However, it was a bit expensive.
Seemed like a nice spot for dinner. Wait to get seated was pretty long. After being seated, it was easy to tell they were understaffed. Because of this, everything took a lot longer than it should have. Food was average, knowing you generally pay more at a hotel restaurant.
