a warm welcome in a beautiful building that was set up on a very high standard. this was one of the best places we stayed on holiday. both the individual bedroom and the community rooms were great places to spend time. the breakfast was excellent and well located to explore the village. What paul h doesn't like about The Factor's House:
An extremely rude and uncaring establishment. Had to cancel due to family bereavement. Heartless, rude phone call with them, and have since refused to speak with us. Charged full price even though there policy through Hotel.com said 50% cancellation fee. Great service from Hotel.com, but do not risk any deposit with this shameful establishment. View all feedback.
Absolutely amazing place to stay - fantastic hospitality from the owner gourmet food and excellent rooms all in a wonderful small unique city where the inhabitants are passionate about their home we are definitely back!

If you want to remove everything and relax in the luxury, the factor’s house is just the place to go. fiona and graham are the perfect hosts. the house is fabulous with spacious, comfortable rooms, a beautiful lounge with a log fire to relax after a long day to foot and sightseeing. the breakfast is amazing and the dinners were some of the best meals we had everywhere! we hope to go back soon!
Wonderful home, fabulous eating, impeccable service, warm and friendly welcome! we would return to Scotland to visit the factor’s house. Oh, and cromarty and the black isle are so beautiful!
