Dunroamin - Dornoch Highlands

Upon returning from work on Monday night, I was told that I had to have the Roast Chicken dinner without being given a choice. When I called Lesley to provide feedback, she abruptly hung up and blocked my number. The room was not clean, with dirt and dust everywhere. I felt like I was being constantly monitored. There was dampness, and the paint was peeling off the walls and ceilings. The food did not meet my expectations, so I only ate on Monday night to avoid being ungrateful. I left a review on booking.com, but I doubt it will be seen as only positive reviews are posted. Lesley mentioned that no one has ever given a negative review about the room conditions, which left me very disappointed.

The food was all freshly cooked and tested amazing Roast venison and venison chilli highly recommended

The host and hostes were helpfull and the breakfast was excellent. We stayed for an evening meal which was delicious. I would stay at this hotel again.

Lovely hosts, good food. Good atmosphere. BUT place needs a lot of money spending on it renovating updating all through as it was damp, evidence of leaky roof. Fluff dust under bed edges of carpet, so not hoovered in those areas in a while .

Small older style B&B pub overlooking river. Owners, Lesley and Ian fantastic welcoming hosts. Excellent evening meal in bar and delicious home cooked breakfasts with locally sourced foods especially home smoked sea trout! Scenic views and river walk outside.
